WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates is a disciplined, low-impact workout. It involves a series of controlled exercises that engage a variety of muscles and encourage a full range of motions. This improves both strength and flexibility.

WHAT MAKES PILATES DIFFERENT?

Through specialized instruction and control, the body will not experience any pain or discomfort in Pilates. It’s exercise without impact. Therefore anyone with any body type can benefit from Pilates. It is also the only exercise system that improves posture by encouraging people to use their bodies correctly.

DOES PILATES WORK WITH OTHER ACTIVITIES?

Pilates can be combined with any other form of exercise to create balance in the body. If your exercise creates any over development in some areas and under development in others, Pilates will give you the opportunity to correct this and create an all round ideal body type.

WHY CHOOSE PILATES OVER GYM?

Unlike a gym, when doing Pilates at our studio you are always working with a trainer. This ensures that you receive the best workout each and every session. We also tailor each workout to suit out clients individual needs.

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

It is preferable to attend a specialized Pilates studio as you are more likely to receive individual attention. You should always begin with private lessons to ensure you learn the basics correctly. If you have an injury we recommend only doing privates to ensure the workout is taliored to your specific needs. After learning the basics you are free to join a class environment. Our classes are kept small so that you receive all the attention needed.

PREGNANCY PILATES

Helps your body cope with the changes of pregnancy by keeping the right muscles strengthened and the correct muscles supple. Safe and effective

POST NATAL PILATES

Give your body a pep talk & help your body get back into shape after birth. A gentle way back into excercise – nourishing and starting to strengthen your core back up again

SPORT ENHANCEMENT PILATES

Pilates can be used as an aid to enhance any sports performance.  We’ve helped swimmers, runners and triathletes improve their time. Golfers improve the swing and dancers go further in their splits. Of you’d like to take your sport to the next level Pilates is key

CORPORATE PILATES

Fit staff are healthy and more productive. Taking an interest in your employees health can be a great staff incentives that gives both side an advantage. You the employer gets productivity and less sick days used for injuries. The staff receive strength and flexibility,  co-ordination & musculat pain relief.

KIDS PILATES

Pilates for kids has a wider range of benefits as it helps with muscle development, hand eye coordination & motor skills ontop of all the usual Pilates positives. Give your child the edge by getting them ahead of development.

AQUA PILATES

Fusing the cardio and resistance of water aerobics with the breathing and principals of Pilates. Mondays and Thursday 6pm 45min class for R200 for once a week for a month.
